These 316 Stainless Steel Eye Nut Bolts make ideal anchor points and are highly durable, designed to withstand substantial stress and strain. Pull-out strengths - are based on the maximum pull-out loads achieved using MGP 10 structural pine. They are intended as a guide only, a safety factor should be applied to these readings depending on the situation of use. Much greater results can be achieved using hardwoods, for example, Kwila will hold around 80-90% more tension.
The preferred grades of stainless steel for industrial use are titled 304 and 316 due to their excellent corrosion resistance, suitable finish, and versatility.
304 Grade Stainless Steel: Is the most commonly produced grade of stainless steel. It is a general-purpose stainless steel and offers good corrosion resistance.
316 Grade Stainless Steel: Also known as "Marine Grade" as it contains Molybdenum to resist the corrosive effects of NaCI or salt in seawater. 316 Stainless Steel offers better corrosion than 304 Stainless Steel for those projects in coastal locations. Although it is not completely rust proof the alloy is more corrosion resistant than other common stainless steels.
