316-grade stainless steel often referred to as marine grade due to its excellent corrosion resistance. 316 stainless steel offers better corrosion resistance than 304 grade stainless steel. Electropolished finishes - This finish involves the stainless steel fitting being placed in a bath of specialized chemicals with a high-intensity electrical current running through it. This process peels back the outer layer of stainless steel to increase the proportion of chromium on the surface. This type of process results in a smoother, shinier, and brighter surface finish, as well as enchanting the corrosion resistance of the stainless steel. A majority of our fitting we sell are electropolished. You can certainly notice the difference visual of the fittings which have gone through this process.
